Tree House Lodge

Tree House Lodge is set aside the road between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo, at the gorgeous Punta Uva beach in the Southern Caribbean. What about a stay in the lovely treehouse, the luxurious beach suite or maybe you opt for the garden house? Five unique houses will offer all commodities and comfort for a memorable stay on the Caribbean Coast.

The ecological lodge also houses the iguana conservation project; a great project to save the population of this wonderful reptile specie.

A unique lodge in a unique place!

The 5 unique houses at the Treehouse Lodge are all different but all offer fully equipped kitchens, one or more bedrooms, a prefect location at Punta Uva beach and excellent service. Note; breakfast is only included on the first night of your stay here.
The Beach House was built 80 meters from the shoreline. From your veranda you’ll enjoy the most fantastic view on the ocean and botanical gardens. The Beach House lies 80m from the shoreline, so you can actually lie in bed and watch waves lap the beach. A thatched dome roof, shuttered windows and rattan walls keep it cool and airy inside, and a beautiful wooden staircase spirals up through the center. This is also a split-level design, with a master bedroom on the top floor and an open-plan living space down below – home to a second double bed, a sitting area and a kitchen. The house is great for families (2-5) and there’s an additional single bed for kids who don’t want to share a double with a sibling.
Built on tall stilts, this back-to-your-childhood house is submerged by the forest, with a sloped wooden suspension bridge leading steeply to its front door. Inside it’s split level: upstairs, a double king size bed and a small toilet; downstairs, a second double bed, a single bed and a kitchen. There’s enough room for a family, however also very romantic and very suited to a couple. All of the furniture is hand carved sustainable wood, windows are open but screened against bugs, while scarlet Birds of Paradise flowers provide splashes of color. The shared bathroom is back on ground level and this is fabulous: a 100-year-old Sangrillo tree shelters a toilet in one trunk fold, an outdoor shower in another.
The Beach Suite, an original and striking building from the outside due to its futuristic look, full of unusual shapes and colors and a place that really surprises with the size of its bathroom and the creativity of its design. It’s ideal for a group of friends (3-6), thanks to its 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an extra separate WC, a spacious living room and eating terrace. Hammocks rock in the open wall spaces on the deck. The famous bathroom is a real work of art: from the outside it’s dome shaped, covered in colored glass circles; inside there’s a space rocket feel to the massive room, enhanced by the giant knobs that control all the taps.
The Garden House is built almost entirely from bamboo and sleeps 4 people in 1 kingsize and 1 queen size bedroom. Ideal for a family or 2 couples, it has a well equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge, a bathroom (with another separate WC and basin upstairs), and the added extra of an outdoor hot tub. It shares a private gate with the Beach Suite, allowing extra security, and is only 150m from the beach. From the outside it looks like a Wendy House, with vermillion walls and a pointed bamboo roof.
TheCrystal House is a magical fantasy surrounded by recycled art and nature incorporated.  The House has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people.  Both bedrooms are equipped with bathroom facilities and downstairs is an extra  separate bathroom. One room is air-conditioned with 2 queen size beds. The bedroom upstairs has a king size bed, ceiling fan, private bathroom and closet. The house comes with a fully equipped kitchen. The Sangrillo tree is the center piece of the house. Around it lays a tiny mini golf course together with a wood fired hot tub and grill area for barbeques.
